1. Adventure Awaits!

Give yourself a break from your boy's pent-up boundless energy. Send him outside camping, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with dad and/or a community of dad-likes, who are focused on developing the next generation.

2. Hands-On Homeschooling

Forget boring textbooks! Trailmen learn by doing, giving a whole new meaning to "homework" that involves more than just staring at screens or pages.

3. Real Social Networking

Boys can't help but like and share about their time at Troop meetings and campouts. But not in a digital way! A Trail Life Troop is where homeschoolers like adventure, share new experiences, and build a squad that's more family than friends.

4. Trail Map to Manhood

Trail Life isn't just a club; it's a boy's treasure map to manhood. Boys have a clear path marked by rites of passage, and complete with awards and ceremonies that make growing up an adventure.

5. Epic Proportions

If Trail Life were a movie, it'd be an epic tale where scriptural roots set the stage for boundless adventure, and unexpected challenges grow courage and camaraderie, forging legendary men of character and conviction.

I made TLUSA an elective during my Trailman studies-- focusing on Trail Badges, Organizational Skills, and Leadership intertwined with a Biblical Foundation.

The values frontier is amazing - my boys are working through Apologetics I and II, Creeds, and Bible Basics. These were all really well done.

Each of my kids had to pick one badge they want to do as an elective and then we divide it up. Some have taken as short as 3 weeks--our longest was 9 months. They help us explore potential career options, learn skills, and put learned items into practice.

Service projects aren't just about helping out; they're about making a mark on the local scene. Trailmen uncover their unique gifts, polish leadership skills, and become community superheroes.

7. Actual Accolades

Forget about video game achievements; Trailmen earn real-life badges and awards. It's like having a shelf of Oscars, but for skills like knot-tying, citizenship, and fire-starting. Take that, Hollywood!

8. Parental Power Play

Starting a Troop isn't just a homeschool side gig; it's a parental power move. Get involved, strengthen the parent-child bond, and contribute to the community -- all while being the coolest homeschool parent in town.

9. CEO Training Ground

Trailmen aren't just participants; they're CEOs of fun. From planning epic activities to executing flawless camping trips, they're mastering the art of decision-making like mini moguls (the good kind).

10. Heavenly Highlights

Many programs grow kids; Trail Life grows disciples. With a Christ-centered core, every meeting, achievement, and activity is a step in molding a biblical worldview.

My son is NOT an outdoorsy or high adventure kid. We made Trail Life a homeschool requirement. It took him a year to get into it, but next month he will be our First Officer! The Adventurer badgework definitely goes along with high school subjects studied and makes them go into more depth...my son's final report for his Citizenship badge was 44 pages! He wants to be a Pastor and Trail Life has given him the opportunity to present the Sunday message on campouts. He even led an area retreat for fathers! We truly believe our son would not have the leadership, interpersonal skills, or confidence in the outdoors if it weren't for Trail Life USA.
